For removing a map or its component (layer or feature type) it is enough to select the component to remove in any pane of the navigation window and execute the menu command Edit+Remove. The system always requests confirmation of removal operation, since together with map component all the features belonging to it will be also removed.
Cleaning a map or its component (menu command Edit+Clean) means removal of all the features belonging to this component. Cleaning differs from component removal – the structure of the component being cleaned is kept (for example, when cleaning a map, names and parameters of all its layers and feature types are kept). Before cleaning, the system also requests confirmation of the operation.
