Let's describe the sequence of steps necessary to perform building a join for the example described above.
Open the browser window of the table “List of Parcel Certificates” and perform the command Query+Properties. A property sheet “Properties of query” will be opened in which it is necessary to select the tab Joins (Figure 28-3).
Select the only line with the table name “List of Parcel Certificates” in the main pane of the property sheet, call the context menu and perform the command Join. A dialog box “Join” will be opened (figure 28-5).
Select the field “Owner” in the drop-down list Base field of query of the dialog box “Join”; select the table “List of Parcel Owners” in the drop-down list Table; select the field “Insurance Number” in the drop-down list Field and push the button OK.
The dialog box “Join” will be closed, and the property sheet “Properties of query” will take the form represented at figure 28-4. Push the button OK in the property sheet.
The table browser window will be changed and it will display join of tables “List of Parcel Certificates” and “List of Parcel Owners” (figure 28-6). Compare it with table 28-3.
