The dialog box “Calculations by field” (figure 29-2) permits creating or removing calculated fields overriding the selected primary field.

The only pane of the dialog box “Operations” contains checkboxes the set of which is determined by the type of the primary field (table 29-3). Checking the box will cause creation of the corresponding calculated field, clearing the box will remove it. It is possible to check several boxes, in this case several calculated fields will be created for one primary field.
