Section size and base point

When displaying a line map feature its display is gathered from separate sections which adjoin each other. The base line of the section coincides with the line feature.

The highest speed of displaying is achieved in case of a simple line style, that is, such a style the section of which is one segment located on the base line and having the size equal to section width. In this case standard line styles supported by the operating system will be used in the most effective way.

To change the position of the base line with respect to display of section in the editing pane it is required to use the tool Location of coordinate axes (the button ).

When the cursor is placed on the vertical or horizontal coordinate axis it will take the shape . If the left mouse button is pushed after that and the mouse is moved, location of the corresponding coordinate axis will be changed.

To change the section size the pane of section width should be used.

The command View+Axes permits turning on or turning off display of coordinate axes and line of section width.
