The dialog box permits specifying parameters and performing the operation of creating buffer zones for all features selected in the map browser window. The result of the operation will be creation of new area features coinciding with buffer zones of selected features.
Drop-down lists Layer and Type allow selecting any area type displayed in the present theme for features being added.
The input field Width of buffer zone permits specifying width of buffer zones being built (in map units).
The input field Number of points contains the number of vertices of a regular polygon modeling the circle. By default the system offers to use 36 vertices.
The checkbox Combine buffer zones determines if it is necessary to perform combining of buffer zones in one feature if the buffer zones of different features are intersected.
Perform | Performs the operation of creating buffer zones and closes the dialog box. |
Cancel | Cancels the operation and closes the dialog box. |
