It is used for coordinate editing of selected image feature and also for creating a new image feature.
Layer and Type | Shows the layer and type to which the feature being edited belongs. When adding a new feature these values should be selected in the list, when editing the existing feature its layer and type are not changed. |
Toolbar | Contains a set of buttons permitting the user to perform operations of creation and changing image feature. |
Sample pane | Serves for viewing display of an image feature with its boundaries and control points, for changing boundaries and control points. It also allows one to show and edit transformation points when setting image transformation operation. |
Pane of control points | On page “Georegistration” there is a list of all specified control points (not less than three) including specified coordinates of points (or dashes if coordinates are not specified), and also inaccuracies of binding coordinates (for four and more control points). On page “Transformation” there is a list of all specified transformation points with their source and target coordinates. |
Pane Properties | On page “Optimization” there are values of basic quantitative characteristics of the raster data, and also allows to evaluate the degree of reducing of the data size with use of lossless compression. The checkbox Compression permits turning on or turning off compression of image data. The button Calculate allows evaluating the degree of compression for the present feature, that is, the ratio of gain in the size of compressed image data to the full size of uncompressed data. |
Pane Optimization methods | On page “Transformation” there is a list of all conversion types applicable to the current image which reduce the data size at the expense of partial image quality decreasing. |
Status bar | Serves for viewing current coordinates of cursor in the system of raster coordinates and in map coordinate system and also scale of raster display. |
OK | Confirms performed actions and closes the window. |
Cancel | Cancels actions performed in the window and closes it. |
| Load from file – permits selecting a graphic file on the basis of which an image feature will be created and displaying loaded image in the pane. | |
| Save to file – allows saving raster image of the feature in file. | |
| Displaying coordinates of control points – turns on display of control points of raster in the form of a cross in a circle. If coordinates of control point on the map are not specified, the point is displayed by red color, if specified – by blue color. When the cursor is located close to control point, it is displayed by light-cyan color. | |
| Editing coordinates of control points – permits dragging control points to another place while holding down the left mouse button. By default control points are located in the bottom left, top left and bottom right corners of raster. This mode is incompatible with the mode of editing feature boundary. To enter or change coordinates of control point it is required to place the cursor close to the point, perform a double click and specify coordinate values in opened dialog box “Coordinates of control point”. | |
| Displaying boundaries – turns on display of boundary of feature in the form of a thick line. By default the boundary passes by edges of rectangular raster. | |
| Editing boundaries – permits changing configuration of the boundary of feature: dragging vertices of boundary polyline while holding down the mouse button, creating new vertices, removing selected vertices and also adding, changing and removing internal boundaries of the feature. | |
| Zoom in – zooms in the displaying scale of raster in the sample pane of the present editing window by two times. It doesn't affect further display of image feature when displaying the map. | |
| Zoom out – by analogy zooms out displaying scale of raster by two times. | |
| Previous scale – cancels last performed command Zoom in/Zoom out. | |
| Next scale – cancels last performed command Previous scale. | |
| Preview – allows seeing the feature within clipping boundaries. This mode is enabled only after coordinates of not less than three control points are specified. | |
| Displaying transformation points – turns on display of transformation points of raster in the form of a cross in a small circle. If coordinates of control point on the map are not specified, the point is displayed by red color, if specified – by blue color. When the cursor is located close to control point, it is displayed by light-cyan color. | |
| Editing transformation points – allows dragging raster transformation points to a new place while holding down the left mouse button. This mode is incompatible with modes of editing control points and feature boundaries. To enter or change target coordinates of transformation points it is necessary to place the cursor close to the point, perform a double click and specify coordinates in the dialog box “Target coordinates of point”. | |
| Inverting image – causes color inversion for monochrome image, i.e. all white pixels become black and vice versa. | |
