The dialog box serves for setting a specific style of displaying features selected in the map browser window.
The set of styles depends on spatial category of selected features:
for point features – map symbol;
for line features – line style;
for area features – fill style, hatch style and line style for feature boundary;
for text features – font;
for image features – foreground color, background colors, transparency and inversion attributes.
For symbols, lines, fill styles, hatch styles and fonts any styles from shared or current library can be selected. For the font apart from it the color is chosen.
Regarding image features specifying a style plays some role only for monochrome rasters.
