These modes give a possibility to open a new map browser window and display the indicated fragment of displayed region in it changing the scale if necessary. The cursor takes the form of a magnifier in these modes:
or
. There are two variants of using modes of zooming to new window:
“A click in the point”. If the cursor is placed in a point within the displaying pane and the left mouse button is clicked, the system will open a new browser window and will display in it the fragment of the same theme as in the original window. The center of the pane display will be in the point in which the cursor was placed at the moment of clicking. Display scale will be increased or decreased accordingly. Zooming factor can be changed using the property sheet “Properties of theme”, the page “Parameters”. By default this factor is equal to 2.
“Selection of rectangle”. To display some rectangular fragment of displayed region in a separate map browser window it is required to turn on the mode of zooming in to new window, push the left button in one corner of this fragment and release it in the opposite corner. After releasing the button a new browser window will be opened and all its displaying pane will be occupied by selected rectangular fragment. The rectangle center will become the pane center.
To open a new map browser window with decreased display scale the user should turn on the mode of zooming out to new window and indicate some rectangular fragment in displaying pane of the original browser window as it was described above. The center of this fragment will be in the center of displaying pane of the new window. The scale is decreased by as many times as the side of selected rectangle is less than the side of the pane of original window.
