Window “Selection polyline”

Purpose

Serves for controlling parameters of selection polyline in modes Select by polyline and Select by buffer zone of polyline.

Description

The window is opened automatically when the mode Select by polyline or Select by buffer zone of polyline is chosen and it is closed when any other mode is chosen.

To select all features intersecting some broken line (selection polyline) it is necessary to build this polyline in displaying pane. To do this it is required to move the cursor by polyline vertices performing clicks in every vertex. Building of the polyline is completed by a double click in the last vertex. All features intersecting the polyline (that is, having common points with it) are selected, the rest features are deselected.

To select features intersecting with selection polyline without deselecting other features (selected before) it is necessary to hold down the key Ctrl at the moment of double click.

To deselect features intersecting with selection polyline without changing the state of features selected before it is required to hold down the key Alt at the moment of double click.

To reverse the state of selection of features intersecting with selection polyline it is required to hold down the combination of keys <Ctrl+Alt> at the moment of double click.

To leave in selected state only the features which were selected already and which are intersecting with the built polyline it is required to hold down the key Shift at the moment of double click.

Panes

For every point its serial number is indicated, X and Y coordinates, length of segment from the given point to next one and slope angle of this segment towards the horizontal axis.

Length

Shows the current value of length of selection polyline connecting the built vertices. The current cursor position is ignored.

Current length

Shows the current value of length of selection polyline connecting the built vertices and ending in the point where the cursor is located.

Total length

Shows the current value of lengths of all polylines built before plus the current length.

Buttons

Reset

Resets previously accumulated value of total length of selection polylines to zero. Only current value of length is retained.
