Window “Layers of theme”

Purpose

This window serves for viewing and changing the contents and properties of map layers making part of the browsed theme.

Window title

After the words “Layers of theme” the title contains either a name of the browsed cataloged theme or indication <No name> and the name of the browsed map or a component of the map or theme.

Hierarchical pane

The pane is located in the left part of the window. It contains a tree of structure of browsed theme components similarly to the hierarchical pane of the navigation window.

List pane

It is located in the right part of the window. It contains a list of elements of structure of the component selected in the hierarchical pane similarly to the list pane of the navigation window.

Status bar

It is located in the lower part of the window. It displays the number of elements selected in the list pane and also the type of sorting used in the list pane.

All window elements except for the menu bar and list pane can be turned off using commands of the menu View.

Toolbar

It contains graphic buttons causing execution of most frequently used commands. In the left part of the bar there is a list of component types used to speed up navigation.

Menu Edit

The items of this menu and the meaning of the corresponding operations depend on the component of the theme selected in the active pane.

Properties

Serves for displaying properties of the browsed theme.

Add

Permits including into the browsed theme one or several layers of the map on which this theme is built.

Remove

Removes selected layer from the contents of the browsed theme. It doesn't affect components and features of the corresponding map layer.

Order

Serves for viewing and changing the order of drawing layers when displaying the browsed theme.

Filter

Serves for specifying displaying styles of standard filter groups for selected layer of the browsed theme.

Properties

Serves for displaying properties of selected layer of the browsed theme.

Menu Edit with selected feature type of theme layer

Add

Permits including one or several feature types of the corresponding layer of the map on which this theme is built into the layer of the browsed theme.

Remove

Removes selected feature type from the contents of the layer of the browsed theme. It doesn't affect the corresponding feature type of map layer.

Properties

Serves for displaying properties of selected feature type of layer of the browsed theme.

Menu View

Hierarchy

Status Bar

Serves for turning on/turning off display of hierarchical pane, toolbar and status bar accordingly.

Large Buttons

Permits switching between larger and smaller display of buttons in the toolbar.

Large Icons, Small Icons, List, Details

Allows for selection of one of the four variants of representing data in the list pane.

Gridlines

Serves for turning on/ turning off display of a dotted grid in table representation of the list pane.

Setting Columns

Serves for choosing displayed table columns and specifying column width in printing.

Adjust Columns

Serves for automatic adjustment of column width of the table in accordance with the current width of the window.

Update

Calls immediate update of contents of the window panes.

Menu Window

Menu items with window titles

Allow activating any of the 11 opened ObjectLand windows.

Others

Permits activating opened ObjectLand windows if their number is more than 11.

Help Topics

Opens the window “GIS ObjectLand Help” containing reference information about ObjectLand.
