Wizard of adding EDB table based on a view of an external source

Purpose

This window serves for setting and executing of the operation of adding a table to an external database. The added table corresponds to a view (VIEW) of the external data source.

Work with the wizard is organized as a set of successive steps to each of which a separate wizard page corresponds. Switching between steps is performed using buttons Next> and <Back.

Pages

Defining table name and type

Serves for specifying name and type of the table being added.

Defining columns

Serves for specifying set of columns (fields) of the table.

Join

Allows defining the scheme of joining tables of the data source in the view

Query

Allows viewing and modifying search condition for records included in the view.

Sorting

Allows viewing and modifying sorting condition for records in the view.

Calculations

Allows viewing and setting or modifying calculated fields for the view.

Selecting columns

Serves for selecting columns of base tables displayed in the current view.

Changing SQL expression

Serves for viewing and, if necessary, manual modifying text of SQL expression generated by the system.

Result

Displays messages on result of performing operation of creation or modification of the table.

Buttons

Next>

Proceeds to next page of the wizard.

<Back

Returns to the previous page of the wizard.

Execute

Completes addition of EDB table.

Cancel

Closes the window.
