Serves for copying map layer.
Copying operation permits creating a copy of selected layer in the same or a different map, in the current or another GDB.
The system provides a possibility to copy map layer as a whole together with features it contains or copying only layer structure. When copying the structure the new layer will have the same set of feature types, styles, etc, but will not contain any features. It is possible to include tables linked with the map layer into the operation of copying or only the structure of these tables and links (not copying records) or copy only the graphics.
After selecting the command a nested menu will be opened: Whole, Structure, Graphics and Graphics Structure – the system offers to select the variant of copying.
After the variant of copying is chosen, the procedure of copying map layer is started. This procedure consists of several steps and it is controlled by layer copying wizard.
In mode of shared access to GDB this command is disabled.
