Serves for merging the contents of two feature types of map layers.
The operation permits merging contents (features, links between features and table records) of two feature types of the same spatial category of one and the same map or of different maps. Maps can be located in one or different GDBs.
After selecting the command a nested menu of two items will be opened: Whole and Graphics. In the first case feature types and their links with table records are subject to merging, in the second – only the features themselves, without links. Next nested menu: Into Other GDB and Into Current GDB – the system offers to select destination GDB.
After the destination GDB is chosen, the procedure of merging layers is started. This procedure consists of several steps and it is controlled by feature type merging wizard.
In mode of shared access to GDB this operation is disabled.
