The page is intended for specifying import parameters and saving import settings file.
On this page the pane of parameters containing five pages with tabs is located and the pane Settings file.
Input fields on page “Import Region” contain coordinates of the left bottom (LB) and right top (RT) corners of the map page being imported. Coordinates of page borders are present in DXF file, and it is these coordinates that are taken as default values. If parameters of import region were changed, the button Default will reset them to initial values.
Specifying coordinates of the map page is necessary for correct completion of boundaries of opened area features, it does not limit possible arrangement of features in the file of map page outside import region.
When importing DXF files the system can perform completion of opened borders of line features, if polyline ends are located within the range of specified limit from each other or from the border of import region. Transformation of such line features to area ones is performed. The input field Completion width permits specifying the width of the limit. The width is indicated in map units. Default value is 0 (completion is not performed with such a limit).
In the course of import approximation of arcs from DXF file by polylines is performed. In the field Approximation of arcs the number of vertices of the regular polygon approximating the circle being imported should be specified. Default value is 36, that is, a circle will be approximated by a polygon consisting of 36 vertices from which we may conclude that the arc replaced in import by its chord will be equal to 10°.
The input field Size serves for specifying the height of symbols of point features being imported. The height is specified in map units. If the symbol size is not specified in the loaded settings file, it is set by the system by default – 0.01 from the range of map coordinates.
The input field Zoom threshold is used for specifying zoom threshold of symbols. The range of possible field values is from 1 to 1000 pixels, default value is 15.
Radio buttons located on page “Correspondence of Axes” permit selecting correspondence between map coordinates and coordinates in DXF file being loaded.
Axes in ObjectLand map are marked by lower-case letters, in DXF file – by upper-case letters.
ObjectLand map is two-dimensional and has only two coordinates x and y, while DXF file can be three-dimensional (X, Y and Z coordinates).
Radio buttons located on page “Links” are used for setting the mode of importing links of feature types of DXF file with text data from DXF file group indicated in the field Extra group.
Do not link – linking of features being imported with the corresponding records of ObjectLand tables is not performed even if the necessary information is present.
Link without diagnostics – linking of imported features with the corresponding records of ObjectLand tables is performed. It is done if the existing table record has the value in the link field which coincides with the value in the extra group of the feature being imported. However, if some errors occur during linking, linking is not performed and diagnostics is not put in report file.
Link with diagnostics – this mode is similar to the previous one with the exception that data about errors occurred in linking is put in report file.
Link with adding records – in this mode, as well as in the previous one, the following actions are made: linking with existing records, displaying diagnostics if there are errors, however, if the table does not have the record with the corresponding value in the link field, a new record with the field value obtained from extra group of the feature being imported will be added, and the feature will be linked with it.
A drop-down list Extra group serves for indicating the group number of DXF file which contains table data linked with features.
Possible values are 3, 4, 5. Default value is 3.
If the box Save settings is checked, the pane permits specifying a name of import settings file. To enter field name the button Browse should be pushed. A dialog box of saving a file will appear.
