Wizard page “Setting parameters” of export to MIF file

Purpose

The page is intended for specifying export parameters and saving export settings file.

Panes

On this page the pane of parameters containing four pages with tabs is located and the pane “Settings file”.

Page Export region

Input fields Center X, Y, Width, Height and Slope serve for specifying center coordinates, width, height and slope angle of rectangular area specifying export region of map features.

Parameters Center, Width and Height are specified in map units. Parameter Slope is specified in degrees, positive value corresponds to counter-clockwise rotation, negative value – to clockwise rotation.

Originally these values in input fields determining export region correspond to the theme displayed fragment if export of a theme is performed, or if a map is exported – to map boundaries within which features are located. If export region parameters were changed, the button Default will reset them to initial values.

Only map features which at least partially fall into export region will be exported in MIF file.

Page “Format”

The checkbox Truncate strings specifies processing method of the situation when length of the string field value being exported exceeds the field width in the MID file specified in settings. If the box is checked, the string is truncated. If the box is cleared, empty field value is exported.

In the input field Units it is required to use the list of units admissible for MIF file for choosing a unit corresponding to the value of coordinate system unit of the map being exported. Units of English system of measures (in – inches, ft – feet, yd – yards, mi – miles) can be found in the list, as well as units of metric system (mm – millimeters, cm – centimeters, m – meters, km – kilometers). Meters are offered by default.

In the input field Field separator it is required to select a separator character which will be inserted between record fields of MID file or enter it from the keyboard. The list contains the following standard separators: “,” (a comma), “;” (a semicolon), {tab} (tabulation), {space} (a space character).

Page “Date”

On this page format of representing dates used in MID file when storing fields of the type “Date” is specified.

To select date format drop-down lists in input fields Format and Separator are used. In the field Sample the current date in selected format is shown.

Page “Boolean”

On this page two input fields are located: True and False which allow the user to select in the drop-down lists representation of the corresponding values of Boolean fields used for storing in MID file or enter them from the keyboard.

For the value “True” the system offers the representations T, TRUE, Y and YES. For the value “False” – F, FALSE, N and NO.

Pane “Settings file”

If the box Save settings is checked, the pane permits specifying a name of export settings file. To enter field name the button Browse should be pushed. A dialog box of saving a file will appear.
