The page is intended for specifying export parameters and saving export settings file.
On this page the pane of parameters containing four pages with tabs and the pane “Settings file” are located.
If the box Export field names is checked, field names will be placed into the first line of the output file.
Radio buttons of the pane Code page serve for choosing coding of characters in an output file. The offered codings differ for the alphabets others than English. ANSI coding is used in Windows, OEM coding – in DOS.
The checkbox Truncate strings specifies processing method of the situation when the length of the string field value being exported exceeds the field width in the MID file specified in settings. If the box is checked, the string is truncated. If the box is cleared, empty field value is exported. In both cases a message about overfilling of field is included into report file.
This mode is present in export to the file with separators as well, but only for fields for which width is set.
The page is present only in export to file with separators.
If the box Strings in quotes is checked, values of string fields will be put into inverted commas. If the field value of string type contains a character of inverted commas, such a character will be placed in export file twice, one after another.
The field Field separator serves for specifying a separator character of fields. It is possible to enter a separator character from the keyboard or select it a in a drop-down list. A list contains the following standard separators: “,” (a comma), “;” (a semicolon), {tab} (tabulation), {space} (a space character). When entering a separator character from the keyboard it can be specified either in character format (by pressing the corresponding key) or in decimal or hexadecimal format in the form \dDDD or \xHH, where DDD and HH are decimal and hexadecimal digits accordingly.
On this page format of representing dates used in text file when storing fields of the type “Date” is specified.
To select date format drop-down lists in input fields Format and Separator are used. In the field Sample the current date in selected format is shown.
On this page two input fields are located: True and False which allow the user to select representation of the corresponding values of Boolean fields used for storing in text file in the drop-down lists or enter them from the keyboard.
For the value “True” the system offers the representations T, TRUE, Y and YES. For the value “False” – F, FALSE, N and NO. The user can enter other representations of Boolean values.
If the box Save settings is checked, the pane permits specifying a name of export settings file. To enter field name the button Browse should be pushed. A dialog box of saving a file will appear.
