Serves for aligning all selected elements with respect to the active (first selected) element.
Performing all operations of alignment mostly depend on the number of selected layout elements.
If not less than two layout elements are selected, the active element (the first selected one) will play the role of a model for alignment while other selected elements will be aligned according to this model.
If one element of the layout is selected, the layout page will play the role of a model, that is, selected element will be aligned with respect to the page.
A nested menu of alignment commands is opened:
Left (the button
) – moves all selected elements (except for model one) along horizontal axis in such a way that their left borders coincided with the left border of the model.
Right (the button
) – moves all selected elements (except for model one) along horizontal axis in such a way that their right borders coincided with the right border of the model.
Top (the button
) – moves all selected elements (except for model one) along vertical axis in such a way that their top borders coincided with the top border of the model.
Bottom (the button
) – moves all selected elements (except for model one) along vertical axis in such a way that their bottom borders coincided with the bottom border of the model.
By Horizontal (the button
) – moves all selected elements (except for model one) along horizontal axis in such a way that their middle vertical lines coincided with the middle line of the model.
By Vertical (the button
) – moves all selected elements (except for model one) along vertical axis in such a way that their middle horizontal lines coincided with the middle line of the model.
By Width (the button
) – changes sizes of all selected elements (except for model one) in such a way that their sizes were equal to the horizontal size of the model. The bottom left point of the element remains at its place.
By Height (the button
) – changes vertical sizes of all selected elements (except for model one) in such a way that their sizes were equal to the vertical size of the model. The bottom left point of the element remains at its place.
For such layout elements as a circle, a text, map symbol and raster the proportion between horizontal and vertical size is always retained. That is why changing width of element leads to proportional changing of its height and vice versa. For other types of elements their width and height are changed independently.
