Type

Serves for selecting type of data admissible for selected cells.

If all selected cells belong to one and the same type, this type is displayed in the pane when the property sheet is opened.

Presentation of empty value

Serves for specifying the string used as representation of an empty value in selected cells.

The user can choose representation in the list or enter a different representation from the keyboard.

Sample of formatted value

Contains an example of formatting a sample value using the formatting string set for selected cells. In case of a mixed type of data examples of all types separated by characters “|” are displayed. For numeric type examples of formatting positive and negative values separated by the character “;” are shown.

The user can choose the format in the drop-down list according to the sample, the corresponding string will be set in the field Template.

Template

Contains a formatting string used for formatting values in selected cells.

The user can choose a formatting string in the drop-down list containing all formats known to the system for the type of data which is set in the field Type. The field Sample of formatted value will display an example of applying the chosen formatting string.

Input field of formatting string

Allows the user to determine a new formatting string for selected cells.

The string selected in the field Template is displayed in the input field. The user can change this string using the keyboard. After pushing the button Add a new formatting string will be added to the list, it can be used in future just like standard strings set in ObjectLand.

The button Delete causes removal of selected formatting string.

The button Change performs replacement of the formatting string shown in the field Template to the string displayed in the input field.

The buttons Delete and Change are enabled only in the case if the formatting string added by the user is selected. Standard formatting strings cannot be removed or changed.
