Permits adding a new element to the layout – a scale bar for the active theme located on the layout before. The operation of adding a scale bar is enabled only in the case if the theme is the only active element of the layout.
The cursor takes the form of a cross: 
. The user can indicate the place in the editing pane where the scale bar should be located and its displaying sizes. To do this one should press the left mouse button in one corner of the rectangle inside which the scale bar will be located and release it in the opposite one.
After building a rectangle a dialog box “Adding scale bar” is opened. It allows specifying various parameters characterizing scale bar appearance. If the user refuses to specify scale bar properties (for example, pushes the button Cancel), adding of the scale bar is canceled.
Created scale bar becomes active element of the layout.
