Mode Text

Purpose and description

Permits adding to a layout a new element – text containing one or several lines.

The cursor takes the form of a cross: . The user can indicate a rectangle in the editing pane inside which the text should be placed. For this purpose it is required to press the mouse button in one of the corners of this rectangle and release the button in the opposite corner.

After building the rectangle the system opens a dialog box “Adding text” which allows the user to enter text lines, select the font and color, specify the height and slope angle of the bounding box. If the user refuses to specify properties (for example, pushes the button Cancel), adding of text is canceled.

Font size and length of the bounding box are recalculated automatically depending on selected font, rectangle height, length and number of text lines.

Created text becomes active element of the layout.
