The dialog box contains data about density of indexes for indexed fields of the table and permits rebuilding them.
To estimate the quality of an index an estimator called density measured in percentage is introduced. The maximum value (100 per cent) corresponds to the best state of index.
If there is a list of users for the current GDB, the command of rebuilding indexes is accessible only for administrator.
For tables containing a big number of records, the operation of rebuilding indexes can take considerable time.
The basic pane of the dialog box – list pane – contains a list of indexed fields of selected table and values of index density for each of them.
Rebuild all | Permits rebuilding indexes for all indexed fields of the table. |
Rebuild | Allows rebuilding the index for selected field of the table. |
Close | Closes the dialog box. |
