Page of geocoding wizard “Setting parameters”

Purpose

The page is intended for specifying geocoding parameters and saving geocoding settings file.

Panes

The pane of parameters containing from one to three tabbed pages, depending on selected geocoding method, is located on the page, the pane “Settings file” is also available.

Page “Point Features”

The page is used when setting all geocoding methods.

The page serves for setting sizes of map symbols for geocoded point features.

The input field Size serves for specifying height of map symbols of geocoded point features. The height is specified in map units. If this size is not specified in the loaded settings file, default size is set by the system – 0.01 from the range of map coordinates.

The input field Zoom threshold is used for specifying zoom threshold of map symbols. The range of possible field values is from 1 to 1000 pixels, default value is 15.

Page “Random Deviation”

The page is used when setting geocoding by features and by address.

Parameter Radius specifies radius of the circle within which coordinates of geocoded features can be deviated from their calculated values. Specifying deviation radius permits the user to avoid overlapping of several geocoded features bound to one and the same searching feature.

Page “Distance from Segment”

The page is used for setting geocoding by address.

If the box Apply even/odd segments was cleared at the step of setting searching feature type (that is, even and odd addresses are situated in one and the same segment), the user can specify values of parameters controlling choosing the distance between the feature being created and the segment.

Using radio buttons Even numbers on the right and Even numbers on the left the user can locate geocoded features with even numbers on the right of the segment, features with odd numbers – on the left or vice versa. It is possible to indicate in the field Distance from segment at which distance from the segment geocoded features should be located. The distance is specified in map units.

Pane “Settings file”

If the box Save settings is checked, the pane permits specifying a name of geocoding settings file. To enter file name one should push the button Browse located near the input field, a dialog box of saving a file will be opened.
