Geocoding wizard

Purpose

This window serves for setting and performing the operation of geocoding GDB table. Working with the wizard is organized as a set of successive steps to each of which a separate wizard page corresponds. Switching between steps is performed using buttons Next> and <Back.

The set of steps depends on geocoding method which is selected at the first step. Below there is a full list of pages of geocoding wizard.

Pages

Select geocoding method and load settings

Permits choosing geocoding method and loading values of setting parameters saved before.

Setting feature type and conditions from query

Serves for selecting geocoded type of features and also for indicating if it is necessary to link features being created with table records.

Setting geocoding fields

Permits indicating in which fields of the geocoded table coordinate values of geocoded features are stored when setting of geocoding by coordinates is performed.

Setting control points

Serves for selecting type of transformation of coordinates in geocoding by coordinates and specifying control points of transformation.

Setting scheme of links for geocoding by coordinates

Allows performing matching of fields of the geocoded table with one or several fields of linked table.

Setting searching feature type for geocoding by features

Serves for selecting searching feature type of a map or theme to which coordinates of geocoded features will be linked.

Setting searching scheme for geocoding by features and geocoding by address

Serves for setting a searching scheme which allows the system to determine features of the searching type basing on correspondence of table records.

Setting scheme of links for geocoding by features and geocoding by address

Serves for setting a scheme of links between geocoded features and records of GDB tables linked with geocoded feature type.

Setting searching feature type for geocoding by address

Permits selecting line searching feature type and also indicating the table of segments which is linked with the searching type and determines intervals of addresses on segments.

Setting parameters

Intended for specifying parameters of geocoding and saving geocoding settings file.

Select report file

Intended for selecting report file on geocoding operation.

Review Settings

Intended for performing the operation of geocoding after completing the setting.

Buttons

<Back

Cancels the action at the current step and returns to previous step of the procedure.

Next>

Fixes actions performed at the current step and proceeds to next step of the procedure.

Cancel

Cancels performing the procedure.
