At the command Edit+Add the system opens a dialog box “Adding user” (figure 86-2).
Figure 86-2. Dialog box “Adding user”
Any strings of arbitrary length can be specified as name and password of the new user. When entering password characters, they are displayed as asterisks. It is required to enter one and the same password twice in the fields New password and Retype password. If the same password was entered both times, after pushing the button OK adding of user will be completed successfully, if different passwords were entered in two fields one will have to repeat the input. This precaution is connected with the following thing: in case of entering incorrect password the user would not be able to correct the mistake later since as it will be shown below one should enter the current password first to change the password.
When setting the password the current keyboard mode should be taken into account: selected language, with turned on or turned off <Caps Lock> mode. In next input and checking the password upper-case letters are considered to be different from lower-case ones, Cyrillic – from Latin. One cannot see these differences on the screen since when entering the password asterisks are always displayed instead of characters being entered.
If the name belonging to another user of the current GDB is entered, the system will display a message “Duplicated user name”.
When adding a new GDB user he is provided with the same set of permissions as the current user has who performs adding.
