Operations of copying, moving and merging GDB and its components were described in the corresponding section in detail. As it was before everywhere where ambiguity is not caused the operations of copying and also the operations of moving and merging will be understood under a general term “copying operations”.
In this section additional peculiarities which appear when performing these operations in conditions of access control will be examined.
There are several peculiarities which are described below.
When selecting destination GDB or source GDB for copying operations the system may request entering name and password of the user of the corresponding GDB.
When setting copying operations lists of components of the source and destination include only the components to which the corresponding user has access. Inaccessible components of the source are not copied. At the same time the presence of inaccessible destination components is taken into account when conflicts of names are found.
The possibility of choosing different methods of processing components when setting copying depends on permissions of the user to components of the destination.
When merging GDBs their lists of users are considered as one of the component types subject to merging. The necessity arises in setting merging lists of users and resolving conflicts of user names of source and destination GDB.
In next subsections these questions will be examined in detail.
