When performing the operation of copying a map, a destination map containing a copy of the source map is created. A copy can be incomplete: it is possible to omit some layers or specify some rectangular area bounding the map features which will be copied. Apart from the source map itself, other GDB components which are linked with the map some way or other take part in the operation: themes built on the basis of this map; tables linked with the map; library styles of source GDB used in the map.
The operation of moving is copying with further removing of the source map.
