Control of copying records

This step of the wizard is executed only for the operation of merging. It permits detailing the mode of performing copying source table records into the destination table. Corresponding page of wizard is shown at the figure 51-5.

In the pane “Stopping” the user can specify a number of invalid records after which the operation should be stopped. Big number of errors can be an indication of wrong settings of the operation.

The default value 0 means that the operation will not be stopped, not depending on the number of errors.

In the pane “Transactions” the user can specify a number of records which are to be processed as one indivisible operation (a transaction). If any failure will occur during the operation, results of all completed transactions will be saved, whereas incomplete transactions will be cancelled at the following launching of ObjectLand.

The default value 0 means that the whole operation of merging will be treated as one transaction, i.e. in the case of a failure the whole operation will be cancelled.

In the pane “Internal numbers” the user can check the box Keep internal numbers of records. Internal numbers are usually inaccessible for a user working with ObjectLand, but they can be used by applications which have access to the internal data structures of ObjectLand.

By default, copied records give new internal numbers in the destination.
