Figure 33-1. Browser window of linked table
This window contains a table pane and it is very similar to a usual table browser window in general (chapter 24 “Browsing a table”). It is possible to edit, add and remove records, perform search of records, change the format of displaying a table, perform setting of control elements of the window and so on. However, there are some essential differences of the browser window of linked table from the table browser window:
Browser window of a linked table is linked with the map browser window itself. It means that in case the map browser window is closed, all table browser windows linked with it will be closed automatically.
When opening a browser window of a linked table, table records linked with selected features of the map browser window will be selected in the table.
Apart from other menus, browser window of a linked table also contains the menu Theme which includes commands allowing the user to work with links between map features and table records. Some commands of this menu are duplicated by toolbar buttons.
The menu command Query+Open permits choosing only those cataloged queries which are based on the present table.
