Linking and unlinking records

A link between some table and some feature type (linking a table with feature type) is a necessary condition for setting links of particular records of this table with particular features of the corresponding type (linking records with features).

To link a record with a feature (or link several records in case of a multiple link) it is necessary to do the following:

The command Theme+Link will be disabled if the terms of linking are broken, that is:

If linking was successful the system does not display any messages, in case if it was impossible to link any records, the system informs the user about the failure. The possible reasons for a failure are the following:

To unlink a record (or several records at once in case of a multiple link) from the feature it is necessary to do the following:

The command Theme+Unlink will be disabled only if the terms of unlinking are broken. These are the same terms as for linking tables, that is:

If unlinking was successful the system does not display any messages. A failure may occur only in the case when the selected record was not linked with the selected feature and that is why it cannot be unlinked. The system displays the corresponding message about it.
