Line features

A line feature is a feature which position is determined by a polyline, that is, by a broken line which is set by a sequence of coordinates of the segments comprising it. In a simple case a polyline is a segment of a straight line and it is specified by two points – initial and end points. Intersections of polyline by itself are possible.

Water-pipes, roads, power networks can be examples of line features.

At figure 9-2 examples of line feature forms are shown.
