If the map or map component (layer or feature type) is selected in the navigation window, then after using the menu command Tools+Dependencies a nested menu consisting of two items is opened:
Themes – a dialog box is opened with a list of themes, based on the selected map or containing the selected component (see chapter 14 “Cataloged themes”);
Tables and Queries – a dialog box is opened with a list of GDB tables and also of tables and queries of external databases, linked with one of the feature types of the selected map or selected component (see chapter 32 “Links between maps and tables”).
After pushing the button Open a browser window for theme or table/query selected from the list will be opened. Multiple choice is possible, in this case several browsers will be opened.
Check of dependencies of maps or its component is especially important when making a decision about removing a map or its component, because when they are removed, all the themes depending on them will be also removed as well as the data about links of records of the linked tables with features of the component being removed will be lost.
