There is a set of other operations performed with selected features. These operations are collected in the menu Selection (these are the commands which can be executed with several selected features simultaneously) and in the menu Feature (the commands which are meaningful only if one feature is selected).
The command Selection+Remove causes removing of all selected features. This command results in irreversible loss of data, that is why the system asks to confirm the execution of this operation indicating the number of features for removal.
The command Selection+Reset results in resetting selection of all features.
The command Feature+Linked themes presents a convenient tool for transition from selected feature of the present theme to another, usually more large-scale theme refining this feature. This command is enabled only in the case if one feature is selected. A dialog box “Linked themes” shown at figure 13-3 is opened.

Using the buttons Add and Remove the user can form an arbitrary list of cataloged themes linked with the present selected feature. These themes can belong to any maps of the current GDB. To display the linked theme it is enough to select its name from the list and push the button Open. A new map browser window displaying the selected theme will be opened.
Other commands working with selected features are connected either with the usage of linked tables or with feature editing. They will all be described in the corresponding chapters.
