By default the system selects all the features which at least touch the specified selection region, however, selection threshold may be specified in percentage of the area (for line features – percentage of length) which should fall into selection region. For changing the value of selection threshold the property sheet “Theme properties” is used (chapter 15 “Properties of a theme and of its components”).
Selection threshold is considered when performing selection by rectangle, circle, polygone and by area, text or image feature and also by polyline or feature buffer zone. Selection threshold is not taken into account in selection by polyline, line or point feature, in these cases touch of features is enough.
