When EDB is added, it automatically gets some name which reflects in itself the data source on the basis of which the EDB is created. In particular, for “desktop” database management systems the full path to the folder or file containing the data will be the name of added EDB. This name can be changed, and it is not that important if the EDB was closed or opened at the moment of renaming it.
To rename the EDB it is possible to perform the command Edit+Rename for it or just click the left mouse button on the name of the EDB which is selected in the pane and then enter a new name.
To remove the EDB it should be closed at first and then the command Edit+Remove should be executed. Removal of the EDB does not denote destruction of data linked with it. Only the information about connection with the source which controls this data is lost. If an EDB on the basis of the same source is created in future, it will be possible to resume work with the same data (taking into account the fact that the data could have been changed or removed by tools external with respect to ObjectLand).
When closing the current GDB all unsaved EDBs are removed automatically.
