The set of EDB layer properties has much in common with properties of a map layer (see chapter “Properties of maps and their components”, subsection “Map layer properties”). However, there are some distinctions to be noted.
On the property page “General” it is indicated, among other parameters, to which EDB does the given layer belong.
On the page “Parameters” (figure 42-13), in contrast to map layers, parameters Base point and Range are indicated and can be changed, but the parameter Partition is absent.

The page “Links” displays links of the layer with EDB tables and queries which will be considered in the chapter 43 “Links of maps with tables and queries of EDB”.
