Changing and removing a link

To change properties of the existing link between feature type and EDB table or query it is required to select the corresponding table/query in the scheme of links shown on page “Links” of the property sheet of map feature type and push the button Change. Link changing wizard which consists of the same steps as the link creating wizard described above with the exception of the first step (selecting table) will be started.

To remove the corresponding link selected in the scheme of links it is enough to push the button Remove. A warning about removal is not displayed, however, the user can refuse from removal by closing the property sheet of feature type pushing the button Cancel.

If the EDB with the table or query of which a link is established is closed at the moment, the present link cannot be changed, although it can be removed.

Changing and removing links with EDB components (as well as creating such links) is possible only at the level of feature types of a map. As it was pointed out above, it is possible to view existing links for a theme feature type inherited from map feature types, but it is impossible to change or remove these links (unlike the links with internal tables of GDB).
