Link of a feature type with a table or a query of EDB can be established either by using internal number of features explicitly (direct link) or by using a special cross table. The user can indicate which operations should be performed with table record when its link with the feature is set or broken. It is possible to set a link between a feature type and EDB query straightly, omitting tables. For queries based on direct specification of SELECT statement it is required to complete this statement with control sequence of link which provides the possibility to get records linked with selected feature.
Feature types of EDB layers can be linked only with tables and queries of the same EDB.
