Adding point features in interactive mode

For adding a point feature in the mode of drawing it is enough to turn on the mode Adding new feature (the button ), select the necessary layer and point feature type on page “Input” of the window “Editor control”, then place the cursor to the point of displayed theme where the feature should be added and click on this point. The system remains in the mode of adding so that with every click one more point feature of the same type will be added.

To select the position of the added feature by its coordinates the cursor coordinates displayed in the status bar of the browser window should be tracked. If it is necessary to position the feature with high accuracy, displaying scale of the corresponding map fragment should be zoomed in.

At figure 17-4 the page “Input” of the window “Editor control” with selected point feature type is shown.

Parameters which values are specified on this page were described above. It should be emphasized that changing parameter values on page “Input” will affect further drawing of point features, but will in no way affect the features which have been created already. It should be kept in mind that parameter value is considered to be changed only from the moment when the user moved the input focus from the changed field to some other field of the window “Editor control”.
