For adding a text feature in the mode of drawing it is required to turn on the mode Adding new feature (the button 
), select the necessary layer and type of the feature on page “Input” of the window “Editor control” and specify the values of three parameters of the text feature:
Height – determines the height of the box bounding the text (in map units). The width of this bounding box will be determined depending on the text length.
Angle – specifies the text slope angle measured in counter-clockwise direction from the horizontal line.
Text – enables the user to specify one or several text lines. Passing to a new line is performed pressing the key Enter or <Ctrl+Enter>.

After the enumerated parameters are specified it is possible to perform adding a text feature. There are two possible adding methods:
If the user checked both boxes located in the window “Editor control” to the left of the fields Height and Angle, adding of a text feature with specified values of these two parameters will be performed. To execute this operation it is enough to click in the map point where the top left corner of the box bounding the text should be located.
If at least one box is cleared, while adding a feature the user can select the height and/or slope angle of the text feature using a mouse. In this case the user should place the cursor to the top left corner of the bounding box and holding down the left mouse button select the size and the slope angle of the bounding box. Creating a feature is completed on releasing the mouse button.
In both cases after creating the feature the system remains in the adding mode. If the parameters are not changed in the window “Editor control” it is possible to easily add many similar text features using the methods described above. However, if the user wants to add different features (for example features containing different text) he shouldn't forget to specify the necessary parameter values before adding the corresponding feature.
