Intersection Area property

This property is applicable to area, text and image features, and argument features should also belong to an area, text or image type.

The value of this property is equal to the area of the region which belongs both to the tested feature and to the argument one.

The use of this property is demonstrated on the figure 35-1. For clearness sake, the coordinate grid is shown. The grid step equals 1 map unit.

On this figure T is the tested feature, A1, A2 and A3 are features of a layer or a type selected as argument. The value of feature T intersection area equals 3 units for argument feature A1, 4 units for A2 and 0 for A3.
