The properties Length and Area considered above describe a separate feature do not depend in any way on the position of this feature with respect to other features of the map. In contrast, properties concerned with area and length of features intersection are determined by mutual placement of the given feature and features of a specified theme layer or feature type.
This group of spatial properties comprises the following:
Intersection Area and Intersection Length;
Area Out of Intersection and Length Out of Intersection;
Intersection Area of Argument Features and Intersection Length of Argument Features;
Area of Argument Features Out of Intersection and Length of Argument Features Out of Intersection.
In any case, when defining a simple condition based on any of properties listed, one of layers or feature types of the current theme is to be specified as an argument. On performing filtration, for each feature of that type for which the filter is set (the tested feature) its intersection with features of the specified argument layer or type (argument features) is checked.
