Numbers of feature intersections and inclusions

The properties of length and area of features intersection allows using corresponding numerical values for features filtering. In this case it does not matter how many argument features does tested feature intersect. In contrast with this, properties contained in the group Relative Placement give possibility to evaluate just number of argument features intersecting the tested feature. In this case numerical characteristics of intersection (its length and area) are not taken into consideration.

The notion of feature intersection means there that some part of the tested feature (but not the whole feature!) lies in inner region of the argument feature.

Besides feature intersection properties, there is a series of properties concerned with feature inclusion, which denotes such features placement that the whole tested feature lies within inner region of the argument feature.

The group considered comprises following properties:

Argument features of two last properties in this list can belong to any spatial category, but these properties are applicable only to area, text and image tested feature.
