Displaying scale is one more spatial property which belongs to the current theme display, not to any particular features. Using the scale in the filter condition it is possible to change filter group display when changing the current scale.
There is no sense to use the simple condition containing the scale as a single filter group condition. In such cases use of scale zones (chapter 12 “Themes”, subsection “Scale zones') allows the system to perform theme display much faster. Scale condition can be useful in combination with other spatial or table data about features. For example, it is possible to require disabling display of buildings which area is less than 400 m2 if the scale values are less than 1:10000.
Specified scale value is understood as “number after a colon”, that is, for example, value 100 denotes the scale 1:100 (100 map units per 1 centimeter of the screen), and the relation “Scale > 100” will be true for the scale 1:200, 1:1000 and so on.
