Setting geocoding by address

Geocoding by address is applied in the case when position of geocoded features on the map is determined by their position with respect to line features of some searching type. Thus, in geocoding by address, features of line spatial category only can be used as searching ones.

Geocoding of the table “Fires” containing addresses of buildings in which there were fires during some period of time can be taken as an example. A map of fires should be created as the final result of geocoding.

At the first wizard step of setting geocoding it is required to select the geocoding method By address, at the second – select the map, layer and geocoded feature type. The type “Fire Site” of the layer “Geocoding Examples” of the map “N-City” can be chosen as such a type in the taken example.
