When performing geocoding operations the system forms diagnostic messages which can be placed into report file. The page of geocoding wizard connected with selection of report file is shown on figure 77-5.

Existing file can be chosen as report file. In this case it will be required to choose one of two modes: Append (new data will be added to the end of the file) or Overwrite (the data existing in the file will be removed and new data will be written instead of it).
If report file is not specified, diagnostics will be unavailable.
GCD extension is usually used for report files on geocoding.
A list of messages about errors and other messages placed by the system in report file is given in the subsection “Messages in report file on geocoding”.
