In ObjectLand it is common to combine different characteristics of GDB and its components under a general name – properties of GDB or GDB component accordingly. For GDB or its selected component it is always possible to open a dialog box named “Properties…” in which one can browse a set of properties and change those which can be changed. If there are many different properties, a multi-page property sheet is used for working with them. Every page contains a group of properties affined by sense. For working with a particular page you should push the corresponding tab using the left mouse button.
Operation GDB+Properties opens a property sheet “Properties of GDB” which contains five pages. Four of them: “General”, “Permissions”, “Parameters” and “Open mode” permit the user only to view the corresponding properties, and properties are changed either automatically or by other system tools. Page “Setting” allows browsing the corresponding GDB properties as well as change them.
