ObjectLand startup is performed as startup of any Windows application. The two main start methods are the following:
Start by EXE-file name. Executable file which starts the system work is called Objland.exe and it is usually located in “C:\Program Files\ObjectLand\BIN” folder (if the user has not chosen another folder during system installation). The executable file can be started from “Explorer” program by double-clicking on the file name or on the shortcut for this file. A menu command Start+Programs+ObjectLand+ObjectLand x.y can be used for startup or it is possible to enter the path and the file name from the keyboard in the menu command Start+Run. There are other well-known methods to start a program using executable file name.
Start by association with GDB file. In the process of ObjectLand installation an association between gdb file name extension and Objland.exe program is set. It means that by double-clicking on the file of geoinformation database with gdb extension or when executing a menu command File+Open for this file, the executable file Objland.exe will be started, and it will open the corresponding database file for processing.
