To get reference information about working with ObjectLand one can use the menu command Help+Help Topics. A window “GIS ObjectLand Help” shown at figure 4-4 will be opened.

Reference information is presented in standard HTML Help format, a program system based on using Microsoft Internet Explorer capabilities controls help browsing process.
Tabs in the left part of the window pane determine the method of working with help:
Contents – displays hierarchical table of contents in the left part of the window pane. In the right part of the pane a help item selected from the contents is displayed.
Index – allows performing the search of necessary items by the list of key words and notions recognizable for the system.
Search – enables the user to enter an arbitrary text and gives a list of all items in which the text is met.
Favorites – gives a possibility to compose a list of selected help items to which the user plans to refer often and select the necessary item from this list in future.
Another possibility of getting help is connected with using F1 key when working with any ObjectLand window. After pressing this key a window “GIS ObjectLand Help” is opened on the item describing the active window.
The menu command Help+About ObjectLand gives out information about the used ObjectLand version.
