The present step is intended for the user to think over the necessity to perform the operation once again and to make sure the setting was performed correctly. The page “Review settings” corresponds to this step, the only pane of this page contains a list of basic settings characteristics of the operation being performed.
If there are no doubts, the user should initiate the operation by pushing the button Import after which the system will perform loading of data from import file to GDB if there are no serious errors in the settings and in the import file.
Import of features consists of two stages: checking structure integrity of the file being imported and import itself in the process of which additional operations such as completion of features, linking features with table records, etc. can be performed.
As a result of checking the import file, errors can be detected which can be subdivided into two groups: errors in the file structure and errors in feature structure.
If there are errors in the file structure, import is not executed.
Messages about errors in the structure of features are put in the report file. If there are such errors, nevertheless import is performed. However, it may be impossible to load features in which structure errors are found.
After completing the check, the system displays a message about presence or absence of errors in the structure of features and a request to confirm performing import.
