Chapter 64. Import of spatial data in MIF format

Files of MIF format are supported by MapInfo system. MIF file contains a list of features which can belong to different spatial categories. MIF file can also contain description of table data structure, table records are stored in file with MID extension. When importing data, a link between features loaded from MIF file and corresponding table records loaded from MID file can be set.
